Ember is designed so that your most sensitive information — your individual intimacy preferences — is never exposed to your partner or anyone else on its own. Your private ratings are only ever used to compute a mutual match, and only shared matches are revealed. Your “no” answers and hard limits are never shown to your partner.

• Account information: such as your email address, a display name, and an encrypted password.
• Pairing information: the private connection between you and your partner’s account.
• Your preferences: the private ratings and selections you make within the app.
• Basic technical data: limited information needed to operate and secure the Service.

We use your information only to:

• Provide the core Ember experience — pairing, private rating, and blind matching;
• Keep your account secure and functioning;
• Respond to your support requests;
• Improve the Service in aggregate, without exposing individual private preferences.

• We never sell your personal data.
• We never display your individual private ratings to your partner or others.
• We never use your intimate preferences for advertising.

Your responses are encrypted and stored securely. The blind-match system is designed so that sensitive answers are compared privately and only overlapping matches are surfaced. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information.

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service (for example, secure infrastructure providers acting on our behalf), or where required by law. Any such providers are bound to protect your data.

You can access and update your account details in the app, and you can delete your account at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data associated with it, subject to any limited retention required by law.

Ember is for adults 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you within the Service.
